Dr. Pallab Bhattacharya

Principal Investigator

Pallab obtained his PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi and further had his post-doctoral training from the Department of Neurology, Miller School of Medicine USA and Department of Neurosurgery, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. He had the privilege to be trained and work under Prof. Dileep R Yavagal,Director Interventional Neurology, Miller School of Medicine, USA and Nobel Laureate Prof.Andrew Schally. Presently, he is working in collaboration with Nobel Laureate Prof. Andrew Schally to study neuroendocrine regulation in ischemic stroke. He is also a visiting scientist to Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. In past, he was a visiting research fellow at University of Oxford UK, University of Cambridge, UK, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA and National University of Singapore. Pallab had an advanced training in stem cell biology from Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL), Woods Hole, Massachusetts and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. In past, he has been awarded with Fast Track Young Scientist by Government of India, Return Home Grant by ISN, USA, Young Investigator Award by Society for Nanomedicine USA, Young Investigator Award by World Stroke Congress and Young Neurologist Award by European Neurological Society, EU.
